Pembrokeshire is home to many gorgeous beaches for you to explore.

They’re all only a short drive from Carn Springs which is why it is such a popular holiday destination.

With each beach offering something different, we have put this guide together to make your decision of which one to visit that bit easier.

Tenby North Beach

(3.5 miles) A picturesque, sheltered, east facing, sandy beach. Due to the beach being enclosed it’s a fantastic sun trap, so be sure to take your sunscreen. Just above the beach is a café and public toilets. Deck chairs and boat hire are available to rent. Lifeguards are on duty from the end of June to the end of September. Dog restrictions apply to the whole beach from 1st May to 30th September. Explore more

  • Tenby South Beach (4 miles) One and a half miles of golden sand, South Beach is very family and dog friendly with gently sloping sands into the sea. In summer many events and activities take place here. There is a bar and restaurant on the beach and a café and public toilets at the main beach entry point. Short distance to Tenby town centre. Deck chairs are available for hire. Lifeguards are on duty from the end of June to the end of September. Dog restrictions only apply to the to the beach below the cliffs, east of the beach car park/café 1 May to 30 September. Explore more

Harbour Beach

(4 miles) Small sandy beach, perfect for families with younger children. Nearest toilets are at the nearby Castle Beach. Dog restrictions apply to the whole of the harbour from 1st May to 30th September.

Castle Beach

(4 miles) Pretty little sandy cove with a Café. Access through the harbour or down steep steps. Deckchair, sunbed, and beach wheelchair hire available. Lifeguards from the end of June to the end of September. Dog restrictions apply to the whole beach west of St Catherine’s Island from 1st May to 30th September.

Penally Beach

(4 miles) Runs off the far end of South Beach. This sand and shingle beach is a lot quieter and gets less crowded than the others in Tenby. You would need to head to South Beach or Tenby town centre for refreshments or toilets. Dogs are allowed on Penally beach all year round.

  • Manorbier Beach (3.5 miles) 5 miles) The south-westerly facing beach with its sand dunes is a popular surfing spot. There can be strong currents here so please be mindful if swimming in the sea. Toilets are available near the beach entrance. Food and drink are available in the village. Dogs are allowed on Manorbier beach all year round. Explore more
  • Amroth Beach (7.5 miles) Make your way across the pebbles and on to half a mile of flat sandy beach, great for family beach games or a nice stroll. At the western end you can find some lovely rockpools to explore. Just off the beach you can find toilets, café, and pubs selling food. Lifeguards from the beginning of July to the end of September. Dog restrictions apply to the central and western end of the beach between 1st May & 30th September. Explore more

You won't be bored at Carn Springs Camping with lots of local activities and things to do.

Have a ‘roarsome’ day with the kids at The Dinosaur Park. Or take the small boat and have an adventure on Caldey Island.
